  John Dillon, 10.08/00:
We, the graduates and supporters of the Louisiana Scholars' College, propose the founding of the Louisiana Scholars' College Alumni Association in order to provide mentorship to all current students of the College and promote the unity and educative virtues of the liberal scholarship on which the College was established. It is our intention as members of this association to take democratic action in the association's policies and procedures to ensure that our relationship with the College as a whole is beneficial. Representatives of the association will therefore be chosen to carry out duties and delegate responsibilities to any members who wish to offer their services. Members who contact past or present administration and faculty for the purposes by which this association is established shall conduct themselves and their business in a manner reflective of the virtues of the College. Should changes occur within this association that directly affect its dealings with the College, all members will take full responsibility that such changes are made for the good of the current students, for it is their welfare which is of concern. With the acceptance of this mission statement, we, the members of the Louisiana Scholars' College Alumni Association, pledge to uphold our constitution which will be established as a symbol of our faith in the College.

  John Dillon, 10/08/00:
As members of the Louisiana Scholars' College Alumni Association, we shall attempt to be the first liberal arts school to put a senior thesis student on the moon. as we all know, the moon is the final frontier for the liberal arts, for there is no soul there who will look at us like we're idiots. our mission is to conquer the deepest reaches of space, and to battle the dark overlords of the planet Wallace who threaten to replace our personal libraries with the most vile of all weapons -- textbooks!

  Rhonda Fair, 10/09/00:
We, the graduates and supporters of the Louisiana Scholars' College, hereby found the Louisiana Scholars' College Alumni Association (LSCAA) to promote the unity and liberal scholarship on which the College was established. As members of this association, we intend to conduct ourselves in a manner reflective of the virtues of the College and work for the continuation of these values among current student. Our mission is to establish a community of LSC alumni and to further this community's interests, including networking, reunions, and continued scholarship. Furthermore, the LSCAA will promote a beneficial relationship with the College, including voicing our various concerns about events affecting LSC and providing mentorship for current students.
